Rooted in the geometric tension of circles and squares, the design balances bold, architectural forms with a playful sense of proportion. Its cantilevered composition and monolithic construction preserve the integrity of Woo’s original work while adapting it for outdoor living.

Born in Madrid and raised in British Columbia, Christian Woo is a designer and craftsman whose work is shaped by the Pacific Northwest. Since founding his Vancouver studio in 2006, he has built a practice rooted in material integrity, traditional craft, and precise geometry.⁠ Drawing from Brutalist principles, his work balances substantial forms with restraint and simplicity. From furniture to sculptural objects, each piece is closely considered from design through fabrication, resulting in work that feels architectural, timeless, and distinctly his own.⁠

A Boldly Playful Collection

The bold and impressive cantilever design creates a striking silhouette that immediately catches the eye. And the simple concept of a circle within a square, that serves as the geometric foundation for the entire collection, is playful, approachable, and human in scale.

Strategic design and precision engineering were central to bringing the Woo Collection to life.

High Precision Process

A key priority was hiding all exterior welds, so no seams are visible. Achieving this requires careful consideration of chamfering and heat distribution to manage where welding can occur. To stay true to Christian Woo’s original vision, the process begins with high-precision laser cutting and fine-tuning the components on the CNC machine to ensure everything fits together seamlessly. The result is exceptional build quality: every gap is perfectly aligned, all edges are extremely clean, and the corners remain exceptionally sharp. Extremely challenging, but completely worth it.
